Lead Scrum Master
VSG Business Solutions LLC
We are seeking an experienced Lead Scrum Master with experience leading multiple Agile teams. The ideal candidate will drive Agile transformation, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, coach teams on Agile best practices, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
- Manage and support multiple Agile teams across complex projects and programs.
- Remove impediments and proactively address risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Track and report Agile metrics, team velocity, sprint progress, and delivery health.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-performing teams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
- Drive Agile transformation initiatives and promote Agile best practices across the organization.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and facilitate program-level planning activities.
- Support release planning, roadmap discussions, and stakeholder communications.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Strong expertise in Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean methodologies.
- Experience leading multiple Agile teams in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics, velocity tracking, burndown charts, and reporting.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams including Development, QA, Product Management, and DevOps.
- Ability to identify and remove team impediments while ensuring continuous delivery.
Preferred Skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or SAFe Agilist certification.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud technologies, and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience driving enterprise Agile transformation and coaching Scrum Masters.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.
