Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a collaborative, resource-rich school environment. This full-time role offers the chance to work directly in the classroom with a manageable group of 10 students, joined by peer mentors and robust support from 2 paraeducators, along with BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and Psych/SW team members. The school emphasizes teamwork and draws on an array of multidisciplinary professionals to ensure students’ needs are fully met.

Key Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate flexibility and a strong ability to collaborate with diverse educational teams.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on classroom teaching experience in special education is required.
• Possession of an active CDE license, or current progress toward licensure, is essential. Candidates must submit a copy of their active CDE license or COOL for consideration.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans and instructional activities for special education students.
• Collaborate closely with paraeducators and specialists (BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, Psych/SW) to design effective interventions and behavioral supports.
• Engage with peer mentors to foster a supportive classroom culture.
• Track and report on students’ progress, adapting strategies as needed to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation in line with school and state requirements.
