Parents touring a Scottsdale school that promises a two-hour academic day arrive skeptical. Answering the question behind their question, within 24 hours, every time, is what turns that skepticism into a signed enrollment. This is admissions as sales, not paperwork.


Alpha School runs a private K-12 campus on a two-hour academic day, built on mastery-based progression and AI-driven learning software, with the rest of the day given to real projects and life skills. Families need that explained by a person, not a brochure. You are their single point of contact from first inquiry to first day. A parent emails at 9pm asking how a third grader learns to write here; the answer lands before breakfast. Then comes the shadow day you booked, the campus visit you run, the socialization objection you handle, and the record you update so nothing gets dropped. About a third of the week is the inbox, a quarter is events and shadow days, and the rest is sitting across from parents.


The work grows as the Scottsdale campus does. Early on, you execute a funnel that already exists: respond, schedule, host, record. As cohorts fill, you become the person who defines how the family experience should work here. Which questions deserve a better answer. Where families fall out, and why.


Cohorts are capped, so every family you enroll is one that fits, and the ones you enroll will send you the next three. If you want your work measured in students in seats rather than tickets closed, apply.

• Answering every prospective family inquiry within 24 hours, in writing that is clear, specific, and actually addresses what they asked
• Meeting with parents to walk them through admissions and the two-hour learning model, handling objections about academic rigor, socialization, and accreditation
• Running student shadow days and on-campus events end to end: RSVPs, schedules, day-of logistics, and follow-up with everyone who attended
• Keeping every applicant record complete and accurate in the CRM (customer relationship management system) and student information system, so decisions never wait on missing data
• Reporting where each family sits in the funnel, and flagging the ones going cold before they go quiet

• Processing transcripts, forms, and files as the point of the job. Registrar work is not the point here; filled cohorts are
• Cold calling strangers off a purchased list. Families come to you already curious
• Working from a script, or escalating an everyday parent question to someone senior
• Teaching, tutoring, or supervising students once they enroll
• Making final admissions decisions or setting enrollment policy. You get families to the decision point

• At least 2 years in admissions, customer service, or another family- or customer-facing operations role
• At least 1 year in a role requiring regular written communication with families or customers by email, chat, or letter, plus one writing sample you can share
• At least 1 year using a CRM, student information system (SIS), or comparable database to track and update records while running several tasks at once
• Available to work on site at the Scottsdale, Arizona campus, or willing to relocate there
• Authorized to work in the United States

• Bachelor's degree
• Classroom teaching experience, or a background in school admissions or enrollment management
• Customer success, client onboarding, or account management at an education or mission-driven organization
• Hospitality background such as front desk, events, or concierge work, where high message volume and a brand standard were both non-negotiable
• Comfort defending an unconventional education model to a high-expectation parent paying private-school tuition
• Existing roots in the Scottsdale or greater Phoenix community
