Overview Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,303–$2,439 (per week) Contract duration: 4 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour nights Start date: 09/03/2026 Location: Plattsburgh, NY (adult telemetry PCU within a hospital setting) Floating: float to appropriate units as needed; part of Resource Float team Orientation: 1–2 days; bi-weekly orientations on Mondays Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for adult patients in a PCU/telemetry environment, including frequent monitoring and documentation Manage insulin drips and cardiac drips, start IV access, and oversee post-cardiac cath care per protocol Monitor vital signs and telemetry, respond to cardiac events, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for timely interventions Administer medications as ordered, manage pain and symptom relief, and ensure patient safety and comfort Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate patient status to the care team Participate in unit operations, including calls to obtain additional resources and coordinating care during float rotations Requirements Active New York RN license; license must be on file at submission Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA); NIHSS required prior to start Experience: minimum 1 year of telemetry experience and 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty area Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years Ability to work in an acute inpatient PCU/telemetry setting and to participate in a float rotation Must be able to start within the next week and commit to the 4-week contract Education: Registered Nurse (RN) degree; specific degree level not mandated beyond RN licensure Patient population: adult; care involves ACS considerations, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex cardiac care Benefits and Support 24/7 travel and clinical support from a dedicated recruiter Ongoing support throughout the assignment Extension opportunities for continued assignments Housing assistance options Onboarding and credentialing streamlined to support a timely start Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
