Location: Kansas City, MO 64153

Travel: Up to 15% of the time, including international travel

Must-Haves:

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, is preferred.
• Ten years experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to assess current systems and key needs, determine a course for strategic digital improvement, prioritize, and personally lead implementation
• IT experience with large organization and collaborating with global teams. Ability to understand larger, global business needs while also questioning recommendations and requests from German parent-company.

Nice-To-Haves:

• Strong communication skills.
• Currently living in the KC metro area with easy commute to corporate office (near the airport)
• Experience with company manufacturing large capital equipment, particularly packaging or processing machinery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and frameworks,
• Not more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years, 3 in the last 7 years (please provide explanation if this is not the case)
• Experience scaling an organization and implementing significant change
• Strong alignment with compensation package (there isn't much flexibility)

This position is responsible for overall management of Information Technology Department and strategic planning of technology systems for U.S. operations along with directing the local SAP IT Application support team.

Time Utilization: This position will travel up to 15% of the time. International travel required. Normal business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer's schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Collaborate with IT strategies and U.S. technology needs.
• Provide support and guidance for the SAP IT Applications support team.
• Develop and lead IT communication strategies.
• Manage, direct, and assign priorities and resources to projects to ensure attainment of IT goals and objectives.
• Analyze complex business needs, and develop and implement technical solutions.
• Facilitate and support internal digitalization initiatives and the creation of a modern work team.
• Oversee technology applications and evaluate effectiveness against established goals.
• Support global IT standards and policies and systems to reinforce corporate strategies and goals.
• Oversee systems of internal controls, emergency and backup procedures, proper licensing, system upgrades, and disaster recovery plans to ensure integrity of information, security of databases, and internal network access control.
• Develop and control IT budget.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and ten years of experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to a varied audience including executives.

Math Ability: Ability to interpret statistics and calculate figures and amounts such as averages, percentages, and ratios.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sound working knowledge of computer networks, network security, hardware and software applications, and technology application development and implementation. Experience with ERP systems required.

Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
