We Own It!Manages the site safety program on assigned project. Educates and trains Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies and expectations.Responsibilities:Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representativesCreates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documentsProvides and participates in staff safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skillsRepresents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractorsCreates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedulesBuilds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regionEnsures compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies and expectations.Requirements:OSHA 510 less than five years oldAuthorized OSHA 500 TrainerFive years current General Contractor experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health ORBCSP Certification (SMS, CHST, ASP, CSP) + three years of current General Contractor experienceOSHA 500 preferredBSCP Certification preferredCurrent on CPR and First Aid certifications SWPP knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of construction processes and proceduresProficient in relevant softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation abilities; has the ability to have effective crucial conversationsApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
