Job Description As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint in Sugar Grove, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related concerns. This is a driving post. You will support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time: Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate logs of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering or leaving the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access. Support security‑related operations by following post orders, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and documenting daily activities, observations, and incidents in a clear manner. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
