Position Summary The HR Manager will serve as a strategic and hands-on leader, overseeing all aspects of human resources in a fast-paced, innovation-focused manufacturing environment. This role is crucial in supporting our greatest asset—our people—by developing scalable HR systems, ensuring compliance, and cultivating a culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and personal growth. You’ll work directly with ownership and leadership to align our people strategy with company goals, while supporting a workplace where everyone—from engineers to assemblers—feels valued and empowered. Key Responsibilities Lead full-spectrum HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance. Support the attraction and retention of top talent in engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles, helping us remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry. Ensure compliance with California labor laws, workplace safety standards (including Cal/OSHA), and federal regulations. Guide and coach supervisors and managers on leadership, team dynamics, and effective communication. Develop and maintain HR systems, digital tools, and processes to streamline workflows and support data-driven decision-making. Administer benefits, payroll interface, and workers’ compensation programs in partnership with finance and external vendors. Act as a trusted advisor to ownership and leadership, offering guidance on HR strategy and people management. Administer and update employee handbook, policies, and procedures to reflect changes in law and company culture. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Champion employee engagement, professional development, and a positive workplace culture rooted in mutual respect and continuous learning. Act as a culture carrier who helps scale the business while honoring our family-oriented values and heritage. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred. 5–7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; experience in the manufacturing or technology sectors is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of California employment law and regulatory compliance. Track record of building or scaling HR infrastructure in a growing organization. Familiarity with HRIS systems and modern workplace tools. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
