Echo Tech

Responsibilities Follow Departmental, Hospital and Human Resources Policy & Procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in performing adult and pediatric echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices. Utilize independent judgment, with real-time and offline manipulation of Echocardiographic images for capture, display and analysis of echocardiography data. Analyze patient medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures asking of questions relevant to testing or procedure to be performed. Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologist, including comparison of previous studies. Ensure ICAEL requirements are met and maintained: CMEs, policies and procedures, protocols, etc. are updated annually. Contribute to organizing and preparing ICAEL application to maintain an accredited status. Process patient billing per established procedure. Use common sense and special medical skills with regard to patient age, diagnosis and physical abilities. Directly interact with the patient and physician in receipt, review, scanning and reporting of Echocardiograms. Promote an environment that focuses on patient safety. Requirements Two-year Allied Health degree in Ultrasound Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education. Three (3) years minimum work experienced preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Registration or Certification by one of the following authorities is required within one year of employment: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
