Join a rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment working Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts, with flexible start times as approved by the Director of Rehabilitation. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA provides skilled rehabilitation services to patients with physical functioning impairments, helping them improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall independence. This role is ideal for candidates with LTC or rehabilitation experience who are passionate about patient-centered care and functional recovery.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience required
• Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation experience required
• Active Oklahoma PTA License required
• New graduates considered with Level II clinical experience (Level I observation only not accepted)
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation interventions required
• Excellent communication and documentation skills required
• Resume required at submission
• Skills checklist completed within the last year required
• 0-1 reference required at submission
• Must be submitted at the posted bill rate

Responsibilities include administering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, implementing individualized rehabilitation plans, providing therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, ambulation activities, range of motion exercises, mobility interventions, and use of assistive devices. The PTA will monitor and document patient progress, communicate treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist, assist with discharge planning, educate patients and caregivers, participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, maintain accurate treatment documentation, support DME recommendations, supervise students as appropriate, and ensure compliance with APTA standards, facility policies, and all regulatory requirements while promoting patient safety and functional independence.
