CNC Programmer

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in programming and operating CNC equipment, including HAAS VMCs, Waterjets, and 3-axis Gantry machines. Your expertise in G-code, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes will directly contribute to creating high-quality custom parts and improving production workflows. We offer: Competitive pay, starting at $35.00 per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities available Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off and holiday policies A close-knit, collaborative team where your skills are recognized and valued Opportunities for professional growth, cross-training, and hands-on experience in diverse areas of production What You’ll Do Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, including Vertical Milling Center, Waterjet systems, and 3-axis Gantry machines Develop, prototype, and modify 3D models and toolpaths to optimize machining processes Write, adjust, and optimize G-code to ensure smooth and precise machining Troubleshoot machining errors, programming challenges, and equipment issues to improve efficiency Design and fabricate custom fixtures to ensure material stability during machining Collaborate with the production, design, and quality teams to align on project goals; Inspect and test parts to meet strict quality standards What You Bring 5+ years of experience programming and operating CNC VMCs, with a deep understanding of G-code (HAAS experience preferred) Certification or degree in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or a related field Experience with 3-axis Gantry machines like Waterjets and Techno routers Proficiency in CAD/CAM (Autodesk Inventor, Aspire/Carve) software for creating and modifying machining programs Attention to detail and a passion for high-quality custom work Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to operate manual machines (e.g., Bridgeport) is a plus About Us Founded in 1983, Precision Signs is a world-class, Long Island based, architectural signage provider.
