Johnson Service Group is looking for an IT Desktop Support role for our client in the Bay Area. this person will be supporting desktop systems, hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, and manufacturing technology. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide desktop support for Windows-based hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, phones, and peripheral equipment.
• Set up workstations for office, warehouse, and production employees, including new hire workstation preparation and office moves.
• Support Active Directory/Entra ID user accounts, permissions, and device management.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and coordinate with Corporate IT and the IT Manager to resolve complex problems.
• Support manufacturing IT equipment and provide first-level troubleshooting for production machines.
• Create and manage IT support tickets, escalating issues to global support teams as needed.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure equipment is properly tracked and documented.
• Develop user documentation and training materials while assisting employees with hardware and software questions.
• Assist with IT projects, system implementations, and other technology initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, including ESD procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of IT desktop support or systems administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows operating systems, and Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of VMware virtualization.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, Layer 2 switching, and IP routing.
• Experience supporting printers, telecommunications, and desktop hardware.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and SAP is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with both hardware and software.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
