Receiving Specialist Summary :
In this role, the Receiving/Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records through MRP systems, and safely operating a forklift to load, unload, move, and store materials. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient warehouse operations while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Receiving Specialist Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.00/hr.

Receiving Specialist Hours : Monday - Friday. Must be available to work until at least 4:30 PM daily.

Receiving Specialist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Unload materials from trucks and move products to designated warehouse locations.
• Operate a forklift safely to transport, load, unload, and store materials.
• Utilize MRP systems to track inventory, receipts, and material movements.
• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records.
• Verify shipping and receiving documentation.
• Perform quality control checks on incoming materials.
• Stage materials for production or shipment as needed.
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse systems to process inventory transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required daily paperwork and inventory documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and other departments.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and equipment checks.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of receiving experience required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience using MRP systems required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand English.
• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and inventory control procedures.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
