Parkins & Rubio LLP is a growing boutique financial restructuring and business bankruptcy law firm. We represent clients nationwide in complex out-of-court restructurings and in-court Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters. Our diverse client roster includes corporate debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, secured/unsecured lenders, and private equity funds. We operate out of high-performing offices in New York and Houston, focusing on delivering elite, cost-effective legal representation. Job Type: Full-time Location: In office - Great Jones Building, 708 Main St, Fl 10, Houston, TX 77002 Position Overview We are seeking a career-oriented, highly motivated Office Manager/Business Bankruptcy Paralegal with three to seven years of experience to manage our Houston office. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in a firm’s financial restructuring and bankruptcy practice. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Manage all facets of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases from inception through final resolution. Docketing & Filing: Maintain internal docket databases while monitoring and calendaring court events. Electronically file documents across state and federal courts. Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, notices, and motions while organizing case exhibits. Discovery Management: Schedule and prepare deposition notices, and compile and maintain document notebooks. Strategy & Tech: Leverage legal technology to drive client efficiency. Participate in team strategy meetings and track industry trends. Manage day to day office functions. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 3–7 years of federal litigation or bankruptcy experience (corporate debtor representation preferred). Legal Knowledge: Procedural familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (F.R.C.P.) and complex federal filing systems. Technical Skills: Advanced command of Westlaw, PACER, and Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of document management and billing platforms (Clio experience preferred). Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, superb attention to details like grammar and punctuation, and a natural ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
