Propulsion Systems Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

Job Overview Propulsion Systems Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced) – The Boeing Company (Boeing Commercial Airplanes) – Seal Beach, CA. This role supports customer technical inquiries, addresses emergent short‑flow issues and leads predictive long‑flow projects for ATA 28 (Fuel Systems) and other propulsion functions. The Service Engineer works independently, researches issues, coordinates with internal and external partners, and provides on‑site support when required. Responsibilities Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues reported by airline customers and determine interim and final engineering solutions. Respond to airline questions and reported problems through internal and external communication. Assess event reports for potential safety issues. Troubleshoot airplane problems using airline‑provided information, engineering data, partner and supplier data, maintenance publications, and other resources. Develop and manage projects to resolve fleet issues. Develop presentation materials and present information on in‑service issues to review boards, management meetings, and airline forums. Provide technical assistance onsite at airline locations as required. Deliver solutions and support across the product lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. 3+ years of experience with aircraft systems, structures, or propulsion (Basic). Preferred: 5+ years of related work experience. 3+ years of experience in propulsion fuel systems, structures, and repairs. Experience with metallic and composite structures. Strong customer service attitude. Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience. Experience with Boeing 7‑series airplanes. Experience with aircraft maintenance publications. Familiarity with engineering drawings. Employment Details Location: Seal Beach, CA. Pay Range – Associate (Level 2): $104,400 - $127,600; Experienced (Level 3): $126,900 - $155,100.
