APU Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced) (Propulsion Service Engineering)

APU Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced) – Propulsion Service Engineering Company: The Boeing Company. Location: Seal Beach, CA. The role supports current in-service models ranging from approximately 30 years old to newest airframes. The position is available for both Associate and Mid‑Level levels. Position Responsibilities Respond to customer technical service requests for in‑service Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). Identify and resolve or manage long‑term reliability, operational, and maintenance issues. Prioritize and develop improvements to fleet maintenance documentation and guidance. Identify and develop innovative solutions to drive superior value to Boeing customers and stakeholders. Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal groups to meet customer needs. Develop material and present in front of a variety of stakeholders including Boeing leadership, airline customers, and suppliers. Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination. Knowledge of Aircraft Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). Knowledge of Boeing commercial aircraft design or in‑service experience. Understanding of airplane operating environments. Ability to work across functional teams and organizations. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Strong customer service attitude. Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience. Desire to continuously improve our airplanes.
