777X Avionics Systems Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced) – The Boeing Company Location: Seal Beach, California Position Overview As an Avionics Systems Service Engineer, your primary responsibility is to assist airline customers in resolving real‑time technical problems and issues on Boeing Commercial airplanes. You will answer systems functionality inquiries, resolve short‑to‑medium‑term problem reports, investigate long‑term issues, and provide proactive fleet guidance. You may troubleshoot remotely or on site to recover aircraft on the ground (AOG) and address other time‑sensitive operational issues. All tasks will be accomplished using the latest Boeing tools, technology, data analytics, and real‑time fleet monitoring data. The role is part of Boeing’s 24/7/365 customer support operation, requiring flexible hours, overtime, weekends and holidays. Primary Responsibilities Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications. Test and validate designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements. Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance. Provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle. Research technology advancements for potential application to company business needs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in an engineering discipline. 1+ year of project management experience. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays. Willingness to travel 10% domestically and internationally. 100% on‑site work required. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience. Experience in Communications and Navigation (VHF/HF, SATCOM, LRRA, ISS, INR, TCAS, GPS). Experience presenting to customers, stakeholders and teams. Ability to collaborate across multiple functions. Willingness to expand into new technical areas. Desire to continuously improve our airplanes. Travel & Work Requirements Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
