777/777X Systems Service Engineering Manager

Position Overview 777/777X Systems Service Engineering Manager for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Customer Support. Responsible for delivering in‑service technical support for the 777/777X fleet in Seal Beach, California. The role leads a cross‑functional team of service engineers, addresses in‑service technical issues, supports 777X entry into service, maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, and travels domestically and internationally. Key Responsibilities Lead execution of engineering activities to ensure first‑time quality and on‑time performance. Execute service engineering and supplier solutions, including coordination with Boeing Global Teams. Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies, and set operational goals. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, processes, and products related to in‑service issues. Acquire resources, manage supplier engagement, and lead process improvements. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers and stakeholders. Manage, coach, mentor, and motivate employees, providing developmental opportunities. Communicate project status, conduct team meetings, present updates, and address employee concerns. Set employee priorities, evaluate performance, and plan on a recurring basis. Work Authorization The position requires 100% on‑site presence in Seal Beach, CA. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent. 5+ years of engineering experience. Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager). Preferred Qualifications Experience in customer support solving airline operator technical issues. Understanding of 777 airplane systems. Proven ability to lead with Boeing Values. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a record of innovative solutions. Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development. Solid technical background to guide and mentor the team. Additional Information Conflict of Interest: Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment. Pay and Benefits: Competitive base pay and variable compensation; benefit options include health, retirement, and other programs. Summary Pay Range: $151,000 - $205,000.
