Respiratory Therapist
The Respiratory Therapist provides care to adult patients. The facility has a Level 2 Trauma Designation and is a teaching hospital. The therapist will deliver respiratory care across various departments. In the Emergency Department, the therapist will encounter trauma cases and respiratory illnesses. Medical-Surgical floors include a mix of general medical/surgical, oncology, and orthopedic patients. Critical care areas encompass stepdown units and an ICU for medical, surgical, neurological, and cardiac cases. Skills required include mechanical ventilator management and therapist-driven protocols. Intubation experience is preferred. The department supports autonomy and collaborative working culture. The electronic medical record used is EPIC. Department-specific equipment includes advanced ventilators and point-of-care testing devices.
