Make an immediate impact as a full-time Occupational Therapist working on site in the Houston area’s southwest zone. In this dynamic school-based role, you’ll support students aged 3–21 across six to seven campuses within a manageable, zip code-based area. The assignment begins August 11, 2026, and continues through May 26, 2027, offering stable, meaningful work throughout the academic year.

Your expertise and initiative will directly influence student success, as you deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services. This position emphasizes treatment, and you’ll have primary responsibility for your caseload, without COTA support. The district requires full-time availability—35 working hours weekly—on a rotating schedule, ensuring variety and flexibility within your workdays.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Age range experience: 3–21 years old, including evaluations and ARD meetings
• Proficient in documentation (SHARES, Onward, IEPs using Excel logs)
• Highly qualified COTAs with significant school experience may also be considered
• Ability to pass district fingerprinting and credentialing requirements
• Commitment to full-time, on-site work; part-time not accepted
• Must not be a former employee of the school district

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, with 30–40 receiving direct therapy
• Conduct student evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
• Deliver consultative and direct OT services, with most students on a rotating schedule
• Maintain accurate, organized documentation per district systems
• Serve as lead OT, coordinating all treatment and therapy needs for assigned students
