Our Gilbert hospital is the hub of our established internship and Emergency & Critical Care residency programs, creating an environment where education, collaboration, and continued professional growth are part of everyday practice. Weekly intern lectures, resident rounds, on-site CE, and in-depth cage-side rounds provide ongoing opportunities to learn and grow at every stage of your career. You'll also have 24/7 consultation support from board-certified Critical Care specialists, either in person or by phone. Gilbert offers daily DACVECC coverage and multiple doctors on shift, providing exceptional collaboration and support when managing complex cases. Our team also includes an on-site social worker and a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) who leads staff training and development, helping ensure our Emergency & Critical Care DVMs have highly trained technical support. And we're growing. Due to increasing demand, AVECCC Gilbert is expanding its ICU, adding capacity and resources to provide even more lifesaving care to pets throughout the rapidly growing East and Southeast Valley. In Your Day-to-day, You Will Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals. Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
