Job Description IT Project Manager Location: Glen Allen, VA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Pay: $60 to $68 per hour Lead Technology Projects That Drive Business Success Are you an experienced IT Project Manager who thrives on bringing complex technology initiatives to life? We're looking for a collaborative, organized, and results‑driven Waterfall Project Manager to lead enterprise IT projects from planning through implementation. In this role, you'll partner with business leaders, technical teams, and third‑party vendors to deliver high‑impact technology solutions that improve operations and support long‑term business goals. What You'll Do As the IT Project Manager, you'll own projects from kickoff through successful delivery by: Managing the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and deliverables Leading cross‑functional teams consisting of business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners Developing and maintaining project charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and executive reporting Tracking project budgets, forecasts, approvals, and overall financial performance Facilitating business requirements gathering and ensuring stakeholder alignment Overseeing application testing activities, including Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, Regression Testing, and Go‑Live readiness Managing project risks, issues, change requests, and dependencies while driving timely resolution Leading project meetings, documenting action items, and communicating project status to leadership Supporting process improvement initiatives and documenting current and future‑state business workflows Coordinating vendor deliverables, statements of work, milestone tracking, and invoice approvals Ensuring smooth production deployments and successful transition to operational support What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is both strategic and hands‑on with a strong foundation in IT project delivery. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 4+ years of IT Project Management experience in an application development environment Proven experience managing multiple technology projects from initiation through implementation Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies Experience with managing IT application development projects Experience leading business requirements sessions and coordinating software testing activities Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Experience working with third‑party vendors and external partners Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Qualifications PMP, CAPM, or Scrum Master certification Experience supporting ERP implementations or enterprise business systems You'll Be Successful If You… Stay organized while managing multiple priorities Communicate effectively with both technical and business teams Build strong relationships across departments Anticipate project risks before they become roadblocks Keep projects moving while balancing scope, quality, budget, and deadlines Enjoy solving problems and improving business processes Why Join The Team?
