Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines. As a Civil Engineer, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada, or the ability to obtain within 6 months. Working knowledge of Engineering software including, but not limited to: Civil Design & Grading (Civil 3D). Specialty software depending on area of specialization: Hydrology & Hydraulics (HEC HMS, HEC RAS) or Geotechnical Design (GeoStudio, Rocscience). Valid driver's license. Willingness to travel by car and airplane, including travel for domestic projects. Preferred Qualifications M.Sc. preferred. Willingness to travel for international projects. Personal Attributes and Traits Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities. Ability to learn new engineering topics and software quickly. Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Needs little oversight, can be a self-starter. Thinks and plans ahead. Willingly accepts assigned tasks (“can-do / will-do”) with initiative to take on more. Key Responsibilities Lead and take professional ownership of projects in a technical capacity. Perform engineering work for industrial and mining projects. Visit project sites for the purpose of data collection and monitoring, performing investigations and/or performing construction inspection services. Utilize a variety of computer programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D software and software noted above to undertake designs and computations.
