This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact by contributing to the security and resilience of services that affect communities across Georgia. Responsibilities Monitor, assess, and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents using Splunk and other SIEM tools Investigate and document malicious activity, vulnerabilities, and intrusions Assist with threat hunting and proactive defense strategies across IT environments Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security gaps Conduct Safeguard reviews of third-party vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with security standards Stay up to date with evolving cyber threats and mitigation strategies Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in SOC operations or a related cybersecurity role Hands-on expertise with Splunk and familiarity with additional SIEM platforms Strong foundational knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence Understanding of security compliance frameworks such as NIST or ISO Clear and effective communication skills Must reside in the Atlanta metro area and be available for on-site work 1–2 days per week Preferred Skills Experience supporting government or critical infrastructure systems Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or similar credentials Eight Eleven Group (Brooksource) provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
