BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Morton Plant North Bay Recover Center-Behavioral Health!
Mental Health Technician Position Details:
- Facility: Morton Plant North Bay Recovery Center- Behavioral Health
- Location: Lutz, FL
- Status: Full time, Hourly
- Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Weekend Work: Every Other
- On Call: No
The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
Required Certification/Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
- Patient Care Technician - preferred
Required Education:
- High School or Equivalent
- Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred
Required Experience:
- 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
