Workers Compensation Claims SpecialistWaste Connections is currently seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to become part of the Risk Department of the Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.At Waste Connections, culture is a critical component of our success. Our employees are more empowered and more engaged than ever before as we continue to grow both internally and through acquisitions.Responsibilities:Oversee claims management activities of the Third-Party Administration including investigations, reserve adequacy, settlement evaluations and claim resolution strategyAssist field locations in administration of workers compensation claimsPerform a variety of risk management administrative functions including data collection, report generation and financial analysisAttend claim reviews and other claim related eventsAbility to handle complex litigated casesStrong investigative background necessaryCoordinate claim activities with other company departments including Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Accounting and LegalQualifications:Minimum of 3+ years' prior experience in Workers' Compensation Claims AdministrationARM (Associate in Risk Management), AIC (Associate in Claims) or other insurance related advanced designation is a plus.Liability claims experience is a plus.What's In It for You?You will be joining a team environment and colleagues who embrace a "work hard, play harder" culture.
