Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MICU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU/Tele experience with medical/surgical trauma/critical patients. Teaching hospital experience required. License: Kentucky or Compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Level One trauma experience required. Must be able to work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule period. No holiday time off requests accepted. Only single days off can be requested for the first 2 weeks of the assignment. Description: The ideal candidate must have extensive ICU experience. They will manage critically ill patients and those with traumatic injuries. They should possess proficiency in arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, and ventilator management. Candidates will also provide blood product administration and care for ventilated patients. They must demonstrate skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, phlebotomy, and infection prevention. Experience with central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, and isolation precautions is essential. The position requires expertise in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. They must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities. Applicants should have a commitment to teamwork, delivering exceptional patient care, and adherence to compliance requirements. All licenses and certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application. Candidates with prior experience at the facility must disclose this information to check eligibility for rehire. Any licensure issues will result in application rejection.
