Tax Accountant CPA

CPA / Tax Accountant We are seeking an experienced CPA / Tax Accountant to join a growing, smaller accounting firm. This position will handle tax preparation and processing for a variety of individual and business clients while providing year-round accounting and tax support. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax returns. Manage tax return processing from initial documentation through filing. Review client financial information for accuracy and completeness. Prepare tax estimates, extensions, and related filings. Assist clients with tax questions and general accounting needs. Research and resolve tax notices and discrepancies. Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation. Communicate directly with clients regarding documentation, deadlines, and tax matters. Support bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and other accounting projects as needed. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Qualifications CPA required or CPA candidate with strong tax experience. Previous public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred. Strong knowledge of individual and business tax returns. Comfortable working independently in a small-firm environment and managing multiple clients. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent client communication skills. Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
