Physical Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our therapy department. This position involves providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients across various settings including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities (SNF).

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients of all ages with diverse diagnoses.
• Administer therapies in accordance with established treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy License in Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; first-timers will be considered.
• Pediatric and adolescent experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule and Work Environment

• Shift: 5x8 Days (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per two weeks.
• Potential to float between different care areas to meet facility needs.

Facility Information

This role is within a critical access hospital equipped to provide care for patients across a range of ages and conditions. The therapy department focuses on outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients while offering specialized services including wound care, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, and pediatric care.

Housing and Travel Arrangements

The facility offers housing solutions and a rental vehicle for travelers during their assignment. Housing is typically one-bedroom apartments. Please note that pets are not allowed, and accommodations will be available for move-in within a specified timeframe before the contract begins.

Additional Information

Cleanliness is essential; housing units must be cleaned prior to departure to avoid additional fees. Local candidates will not be considered; the permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
