• Pay Rate: $70.00-$75.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night Shift (3x12 Hours), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Travel Requirements: Accepts first timers if they have 2-3 years of related experience

Job Summary

This is an inpatient pulmonary unit that accepts Med Surg nurses with some telemetry experience. There is minimal tele on this unit, and patients are primarily straight pulmonary-related. The unit operates as a General Med Surg unit with some tele, with a primary focus on pulmonary patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient pulmonary/Medical Surgical unit
• Monitor and manage primarily pulmonary-related patients, with some telemetry patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4/5 (Days) or up to 1:6 (Nights)
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation per EOW/EOH scheduling requirements

Required Skills

• Medical Surgical nursing skills with some telemetry experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to manage a 1:4/5 (Days) or up to 1:6 (Nights) patient ratio
• Strong clinical assessment and pulmonary patient management skills

Education Requirements

• MA RN License required
• BLS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required
• Travel experience: Accepts first-time travelers with 2-3 years of related experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Inpatient hospital setting; pulmonary unit
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
• COVID-19 vaccine: Not required

Important Notes

• Traveler must be aware of 2 pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam
• Both exams allow 1 attempt only - failure of either exam results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and FDIs
