SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a client in Carol Stream, IL. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will manage the flow of products/parts in and out of the manufacturer to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and safely. The primary responsibility will be to coordinate and execute the shipping and receiving of products, as well as tracking inventory.

$21-23/hr.

Available shift: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk

• Receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming shipments
• Verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips
• Checking shipments for damage or discrepancies
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and arranging transportation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolves issues and maintain smooth operation
• Assist with cycle counts and year-end physical inventory

Required Qualifications of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk

• High School Diploma, Associates Degree, or equivalent experience
• Experience with sit-down forklift and overhead crane is desired
• Ability to effectively communicate with delivery personnel and teammates
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Positive and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift moderately heavy packages and materials
• Computer skills, ideally Microsoft plus ERP usage
• Experience with or motivation to learn manufacturing software
• Proficiency in inventory management
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry environment
