ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will be instrumental in achieving our business goals by ensuring proper reimbursement for patient care services. Your responsibilities will include participating in the Patient Assessment Process by completing items on the MDS and the corresponding Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
- Assist in creating individualized patient care plans, identifying patient needs and expected outcomes in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Contribute to the nursing center's interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, adhering to RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic submission of the MDS.
- Recognize changes in patient conditions alongside the interdisciplinary team and coordinate the scheduling and completion of necessary assessments.
- Support Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and provide ongoing education for existing staff.
- Participate in educational programs to stay updated on current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the state.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare settings is essential.
- Experience with completing MDSs and Care Plans is required.
- Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care, is necessary.
