Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our team in Overland Park, KS and surrounding areas.Work Schedule: This is a casual/PRN position; hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary from 7am - 6pm.Job Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryTravel to additional sites when neededMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:3 months or more experience as a phlebotomistCurrent or Prior Labcorp experienceAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agencyProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceValid Driver's License and clean driving recordBe at least 21 years' oldStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionReliable transportation and clean driving record if applicableFlexibility to work overtime as neededAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAs a Float Phlebotomist Casual, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you!Phlebotomist's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursementBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
