Business Development Representative -PT

Looking for something different than a typical desk job?An established West Michigan service company is looking for an outgoing, motivated person to spend their week out in the business community - meeting people, opening doors, making connections, and identifying new opportunities.You'll have the freedom to be out in the field, develop relationships, explore new opportunities, and represent an established local company.We'll give you the tools and support. You bring the confidence, curiosity, and willingness to walk through the next door.What You'll Do· Visit businesses throughout West Michigan.· Meet people and introduce our company and services.· Identify the people responsible for facility and service decisions.· Ask questions, listen, and uncover potential opportunities.· Research businesses and plan where to go next.· Follow up with the contacts you make.· Schedule meetings and facility walkthroughs.· Join company leadership on selected sales calls and walkthroughs.· Keep track of contacts and opportunities.· Build relationships that can develop into new customers.What We're Looking For· Someone who genuinely enjoys meeting and talking with people.· Comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation.· Friendly, confident, and professional.· Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.· Organized and consistent with follow-up.· Persistent and not discouraged by hearing "no."· Comfortable with basic email, Microsoft Office, and online research.· Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.Sales experience is helpful but not required.What We Provide· 25-30 hours per week.· Primarily daytime weekday hours.· Company vehicle for business use.· Hourly compensation plus performance incentives.· Training and ongoing support.· Independence in managing your day and territory.· Variety - this is not a sit-behind-a-desk position.· Opportunity for the role and responsibilities to grow with your success.A Different Kind of Sales RoleYou won't spend your entire day behind a computer or making calls from a cubicle.You'll be out meeting people, learning about businesses, making connections, and looking for opportunities where our company can help.If you enjoy people, like having variety in your day, and would rather be out making things happen than waiting for something to happen, we'd like to meet you.Must pass criminal background check state mandated fingerprint clearance
