Clinical Care Responsibilities
UT Southwestern seeks an outstanding clinician to provide exemplary, evidence-based patient care in assigned inpatient, outpatient, and/or procedural settings, achieving clinical productivity in alignment with departmental and national benchmarks. This role offers the opportunity to care for a diverse, complex patient population, working in state-of-the-art facilities alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of individuals with complex rehabilitation needs; active participation in collaborative care planning; and consistent demonstration of clinical excellence, professionalism, and innovation. All clinical services are expected to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, patient experience, and operational efficiency, with meticulous documentation in accordance with institutional, regulatory, and payer requirements. Research and Scholarly Responsibilities
As a Clinical Scholar at UT Southwestern, the selected candidate will advance the science and practice of rehabilitation medicine through impactful scholarly work. Opportunities exist to lead original clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and program development projects that influence patient care locally and nationally. Faculty are encouraged to publish in high-impact journals, present at leading scientific meetings, and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and care pathways. Engagement in collaborative, grant-supported research, specialty registries, and interdisciplinary innovation is supported and expected, with the goal of enhancing the department's academic reputation, driving discovery, and translating evidence into practice. This role offers the resources, mentorship, and institutional support necessary to build a national profile while directly improving the lives of patients.
