Job Title Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Location Brockton, MA | Skilled Nursing Facility Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Onsite Key Responsibilities Perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures for communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow studies, under physician or accepted healthcare provider orders. Evaluate residents per department protocols and establish individualized therapeutic plans of care with functional long- and short-term goals, specifying frequency, duration, and rehabilitation potential. Monitor and progress treatment programs toward functional goals, modifying plans of care as necessary and documenting all evaluative and therapeutic interactions per department procedures. Provide consultation to referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding therapeutic and discharge needs; attend all pertinent team meetings. Recommend and obtain appropriate communication and swallowing assistive devices, providing instruction in their use and educating residents and caregivers accordingly. Provide in-services to nursing and other departments; actively assist with the development of new Speech Therapy programs and services. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required. Strong verbal, written, and documentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members. Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment with a compassionate, resident-centered care approach. Local candidates are welcome to apply. Preferred Experience / Skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
