Licensed Vocational Nurse, Psychiatric Technician, Registered Nurse For Mental Health Services LVN LPT RN

Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician / Registered Nurse

This is a 35-hour per week position with hourly rates of $33.50 for LVN + LPT and $51.50 for RN. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Essential duties and responsibilities include providing direct care to individuals within a community-based mental health services agency, managing medications, completing physical and mental health assessments, assisting in the collection of health information, monitoring and managing health conditions, providing coaching and counseling for members, maintaining records and documentation, developing collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, educating members on health promotion and disease management, displaying knowledge of available benefits and programs for underserved populations, and participating in staff and community meetings.

Position requirements include current licensure with the State of California as an Licensed Vocational Nurse, Licensed Psychiatric Technician, or Registered Nurse, one year experience providing psychosocial rehabilitation related services to a disabled population, certification in CPR/AED, willingness to pursue LPS designation, knowledge of characteristics of individuals who are substance abusing and/or dually diagnosed, good basic English writing skills, good basic computer skills, excellent communication skills, ability to function well in a team-oriented approach, high level of tolerance, patience, and understanding, flexible work schedule, driving with current class C driver's license, proof of valid automobile insurance, TB clearance and re-testing every year, and employment verification directly from three past employers within the most recent 7-year period.
