Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Asset and Administrative Management Division, 1 vacancy located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities The Uniforms Management Center ensures CBP law enforcement personnel have cost effective uniforms and uniform gear and responsibly delivers CBP uniform lifecycle management, mission-enabling uniform solutions, and services that increase agent and officer safety to ensure a dependable, professional image in support of the CBP mission. This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical work assignments include: Analyzing and evaluating program data, business processes, and internal controls to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, operating problems, program deficiencies, and potential risks. Formulating recommendations for program and process improvement, including optimization strategies and corrective actions to remedy identified process gaps or weaknesses. Identifying, evaluating, researching, and resolving issues related to uniform allowance accounts, service delivery, and/or customer experience. Coordinating uniform program planning and implementation with a wide range of stakeholders, including uniformed employees, program office uniform liaisons, uniform vendors, and representatives of other government agencies. Verifying that all work is in accordance with contract requirements, to include conferring with program offices and uniformed employees on contract performance. Qualifications Experience GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Analyzing program data, business processes, and internal controls to identify deficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks. Formulating recommendations for process optimization and implementation of corrective actions to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Identifying, researching, and resolving complex issues related to customer accounts, service delivery, or customer experience. Providing contract terms and conditions, preparing or reviewing Statements of Work and Cost Estimates, and verifying compliance with contract requirements. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/10/2026.
