Job OverviewAs a Buyer in our manufacturing plant, you will help secure reliable supply, strengthen supplier partnerships, and contribute to efficient, cost-conscious purchasing processes.Your Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of market analyses and the implementation of category strategies for the plant.Develop and execute profitable purchasing strategies and negotiation approaches in close alignment with relevant functions and stakeholders.Monitor the supply market continuously and manage the supplier portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, on-time delivery, sustainability, and compliance with contractual and legal requirements.Negotiate prices and conditions in line with internal purchasing guidelines and contractual requirements, and manage supplier contracts professionally.Coordinate the assigned suppliers, including purchase price planning and the definition and tracking of saving initiatives that support plant performance.Your QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldSeveral years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or a comparable commercial role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong negotiation skills and confidence in supplier managementGood command of EnglishStructured, analytical, and team-oriented way of workingExternal applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorshipThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asyleeOur OfferingAt Schaeffler, our success is driven by our employees.
