Job Description Our department plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by managing all aspects of patient registration, insurance verification, and customer service. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients, visitors, and clinical staff, fostering a welcoming and efficient environment. Role Overview As a Patient Registration Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You will handle patient registration, insurance eligibility verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs and providing excellent customer service. Your role is vital in creating a positive and efficient healthcare experience for all. What You Will Do Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments, maintaining accuracy and compliance. Update patient registration and insurance information in our systems. Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, providing clear and helpful information. Advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met and questions are answered. Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to support seamless patient care. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to provide excellent customer service over the telephone, in person, and in writing. Preferred: One (1) year of experience in patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility verification in a hospital or medical office setting. EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 medical terminology.
