Consultant, Early Learning Registered Nurse

The job of Consultant, Early Learning Registered Nurse is done for the purpose of planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating Head Start health and nutrition standards; providing leadership, technical assistance and partnerships to enhance regional early learning systems; ensure equitable education opportunities and sustainable child development and academic outcomes; and establish cohesive early learning systems. This job reports to Manager, Early Learning Program. Job is open until filled so please submit resume on or before best consideration date of 7/26/2026. Interviews are preliminarily set for the following 8/5/2026 and 8/11/2026 respectively.

Essential Functions include collaborating in the development and implementation of regional early learning systems, compiling data to guide program development, coordinating regional program health services, delegating health procedures, delivering services, embodying the principles of the organization, negotiating payment for services, participating in monitoring activities, preparing written materials, providing support and training to staff, researching funding options, responding to inquiries, reviewing physician's orders, supervising personnel, and supporting the development of health plans.

Other Functions include assisting other personnel as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field and current, active Washington State Registered Nurse License; Professional experience in Early Learning.

Preferred Qualifications

Specialized knowledge or experience with specific populations of diverse families, experience with Head Start, Early Head Start, ECEAP, or other early learning programs, experience providing group or staff training and/or teaching adult learners, experience working on a cross-disciplinary team, knowledge of common pediatric illnesses and treatment protocols, specialized knowledge of or experience with prenatal, infant, and toddler populations.
