Aerospace Mechanical Inspector

You will perform in-process and final dimensional inspections of tight-tolerance machined parts and assemblies according to exact technical specifications. You will verify that all manufactured goods meet rigid AS9100 and military compliance standards. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complex in-process and final inspections. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Program, set up, and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) using Zeiss Calypso / PC-DMIS software. Utilize manual measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and drop gages. Document non-conformances and maintain accurate quality control records in our ERP system. Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of hands‑on quality inspection experience in an aerospace, defense, or tight‑tolerance CNC machining environment. Must have experience using at least these measuring methods Zeiss CMM Micrometers Calipers Height gages Precision Bore Gages Rockwell Hardness testers Niko Vision System Thread Gages Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. Proven proficiency in CMM programming and operation. Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100/ISO 9001).
