Staff Accountant

Rocky Hill Country Day School seeks a highly qualified Staff Accountant. Start Date: As soon as possible Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accounts Payable – responsible for entering and processing invoices and issuing payments. Reconcile – Cash, Credit Cards and Petty Cash funds. Payroll – process payroll to accurately compensate employees. Human Resources – Tax forms, benefit enrollment/cancellations. Other Additional Responsibilities Support month and year end close processes. Ensure all transactions follow legal standards. Assist with Business Office functions and reports, as needed. Qualifications and Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of professional accounting or full‑cycle bookkeeping experience. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Be capable of meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Maintain an open, communicative, and collaborative style with excellent interpersonal skills. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent judgment, strong moral fiber, loyalty, and responsiveness. Possess finance, accounting, organizational, and analytical business skills.
