Veterinary Technician - Surgery/Dentistry

VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to complement our talented surgery team in Woodland Hills, California. The position is in our Surgery Department , full-time, 10-hour shifts 4 days/week, and the flexibility to work at least one weekend shift.

Location: 22123 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364

Surgery Department with a focus on surgery and dentistry

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 7 am - 5:30 pm

Salary: $30 - $35 per hour

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience

• Ability to navigate high-paced workflow with a sense of urgency

• Exceptional interpersonal skills

• Able to be part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Comfortable to ask for help & clarification when needed

• Possesses close attention to detail

• Able to perform skills including:

  • Surgery

  • Dentistry

  • Venipuncture

  • Catheter placement

  • Radiology & CT

  • Anesthesia set up & monitoring

  • Knowledge of surgical protocols & procedures

  • Patient Assessment

  • Laboratory processing

  • Pharmacy

  • Patient recovery

  • Bandage and cast placement
