Responsibilities

• Draw blood specimens from patients in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner following established procedures
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing according to protocol
• Build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and professionally
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all specimen collections
• Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to process excellence and confidentiality
• Ensure a safe and professional environment for patients and staff
• Perform daily tasks independently under the supervision of the area supervisor

Required Skills

• Proven ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Minimum of 6 months direct phlebotomy experience required
• Over 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience required
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
• Reliable transportation to the worksite within 20-25 minutes
• Must list home city/commute time on resume
• Must be able to work during scheduled shifts and remain for the entire shift with punctuality
