Position Overview

We are seeking an  Electrical Estimator with 8+ yrs. experience to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with electrical takeoffs, pricing, and vendor coordination, along with a solid understanding of project cost structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed  electrical takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
• Input and manage estimating data within  ConEst (or similar estimating software)
• Solicit and evaluate  vendor quotes for materials including lighting, switchgear, and fire alarm systems
• Develop comprehensive  cost estimates , including labor, materials, equipment, and profit margins
• Analyze bid requirements and prepare  competitive proposals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates, quotes, and bid submissions

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an  Electrical Estimator or in a similar role within the electrical construction industry
• Strong knowledge of  electrical systems, materials, and construction methods
• Experience performing  electrical takeoffs from drawings
• Proficiency with  ConEst or comparable estimating software
• Ability to interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with  project management or involvement in project execution
• Familiarity with vendor sourcing and pricing strategies
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
