Location: Santa Monica, CA 90404/Hybrid

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay Rate: 47.35$/hr. On W2

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Research Scientist, Multiple Myeloma – Translational Medicine to support biomarker and translational strategies for CAR-T clinical development programs in Multiple Myeloma.

This role will work at the intersection of Research and Clinical Development, supporting clinical pharmacology, biomarker strategy, translational data analysis, clinical trial activities, and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in oncology/immunology, CAR-T or engineered T-cell therapies, biomarkers, PK/PD, and clinical development, along with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee PK/PD and biomarker analyses supporting CAR-T clinical trials.
• Serve as a biomarker/translational lead on clinical study teams and oversee delivery of pharmacology data and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to clinical protocol design, study activities, and translational strategy.
• Collaborate with CROs and support implementation or transfer of novel bioanalytical methods.
• Partner with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Clinical Data Management, Biometrics/Statistics, Bioinformatics, and Translational Medicine teams.
• Support analysis and interpretation of clinical, translational, and mechanistic data.
• Address clinical pharmacology and translational questions from regulatory agencies and support preparation of regulatory responses.
• Prepare data packages for regulatory submissions, publications, and scientific presentations.
• Support exploratory biomarker and correlative studies focused on tumor biology and CAR-T functionality.
• Participate in external scientific collaborations, publications, and interactions with key scientific experts/KOLs.
• Work effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced environment while managing changing priorities.

Required Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, or PhD + 3 years of industry experience, OR
• Master's degree + 5 years of scientific experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree + 7 years of scientific experience.
• Experience in oncology, immunology, cancer biology, or cancer immunotherapy.
• Experience with CAR-T, engineered T cells, or related cell therapy platforms.
• Experience with biomarker/translational research and clinical development.
• Understanding of PK/PD and clinical pharmacology concepts.
• Experience supporting clinical trials and/or clinical development programs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and scientific communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Multiple Myeloma and knowledge of its clinical treatment landscape.
• Experience with regulatory filings/submissions.
• Experience with bioanalytical assay development/validation in a GxP environment.
• Experience with immunophenotyping and NGS-based approaches for tumor/immune-cell profiling.
• Experience working with clinical biomarker operations.
• Understanding of early- and late-stage drug development.
• Strong data interpretation and presentation skills.
• PhD in Biology, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
