Requirements Essential Functions Assist in leading a challenging and educational practice session. Assist instruction of a group in accordance with YMCA guidelines and rules of the game. Uphold, model, teach and put the four (4) core values of the YMCA into action in all activities - everyday: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Maintain good relationship withStudents, parents andsports officials. Maintain professional appearance and report on time to all scheduled practices and games. Strive to develop the qualities of leadership, initiative and good judgement in all athletes. Develop habits that promote good health and sound training rules. Create a positive and nurturing learning environment to instill and encourage youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Adhere to the directions given by the head coach and assist at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Experience with teaching and/or playing sports. Knowledge of rules and regulations of sports. Flexible schedule Certifications: CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification. Previous experience working with children preferred. Must be able to demonstrate instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards. Previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
