In this role, you will own and continuously improve post-exhaust assembly processes for Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs)—ensuring every build is safe, consistent, and optimized for first-time pass yield. Working closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams, you'll be a key driver of scalable, precision manufacturing from the shop floor to documentation control.What you'll do:Define, validate, and own post-exhaust assembly processes, including preparation, testing, and final packaging stagesDevelop and maintain clear, unambiguous assembly procedures to ensure consistent executionCreate and manage travelers and routings that capture critical data for traceability and yield improvementSpecify, release, and validate production tooling to ensure precision, repeatability, and product integrityDrive first-time pass yield by embedding control points and critical parameter tracking into processesPartner with engineering and quality teams to incorporate lessons learned into procedures and documentationSupport implementation of new processes and tooling on the shop floor, including operator trainingEnsure alignment between released documentation and actual production practicesSupport audits and ensure compliance with configuration control and quality system requirementsParticipate in engineering change orders and process improvement initiativesWhat you need:Strong ability to define and document manufacturing processes and assembly methods – requiredExperience creating procedures, travelers, and tooling in a production environment – requiredProven understanding of shop-floor operations and operator workflows – requiredAbility to analyze process performance and drive yield improvements – preferredExperience in high-reliability manufacturing environments – requiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related) – requiredExperience with vacuum electronics, RF assemblies, or high-voltage systems – preferredFamiliarity with contamination-sensitive processes and traceability systems – preferredWhat we offer:Opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-reliability technologiesCollaborative, cross-functional engineering environmentStrong visibility and impact on manufacturing performance and continuous improvementCareer growth in advanced manufacturing and engineering leadership (Additional benefits such as compensation, healthcare, or bonuses can be added based on company specifics.)What happens next:After you submit your application, our recruiting team will review your experience and contact qualified candidates for an initial discussion.
