Founded in 1981, IEC has an exceptional 40+ year track record and is rapidly acquiring new communities, offering growth opportunities to great team members.Position Summary:IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 144-unit apartment community in Redwood City, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.General Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQWalk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.Sweep the dumpster areasAssist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assignedComply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areasRecognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate themDemonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respectAd-hoc assignments as neededRequirements:2+ years of maintenance experience at an apartment communityHigh school diploma or equivalentJanitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelinesFacilities maintenance experienceCustomer service orientedAvailability to work Tuesday - SaturdayAvailable for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and regional supportBilingual is a plusIEC offers a competitive compensation package, including:Company paid healthcare premiums at 100%, specifically for the employee, with options to buy up401(k) Plan, with 4% company matchFlexible Spending/Health Savings AccountsCompany paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance, specifically for the employee, with options to buy upPaid Time OffCompany Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance PlanEmployee DiscountsCommuter BenefitSchedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am to 5:00pm
